Casting masses

KERACLAY casting masses are ideal for creating complex and detailed ceramic products that require precision and fine lines. These materials are designed for mold casting techniques, which allows for consistent products with minimal variations.

Properties of the casting masses:

  • High fluidity: Allows easy pouring into the mold, which saves time and increases efficiency.
  • Fine texture: Ensures a smooth surface and detailed processing, ideal for decorative ceramics.
  • Stability: The casting materials have excellent strength after firing, which is key to the durability of the products.

Packaging and shipping

  • In a dry state.
  • In paper bags of 40 kg.
  • In big bags of 0.5 and 1 t on pallets.
  • Since this is a natural product, slight deviations from the values given in the technical documentation are possible.

Recommended casting masses

LUD

Diturvite type casting mass for the production of utility ceramics with a boiling water absorption below 3%. The recommended firing temperature is 1170 - 1240 °C. The color of the fired shard is very light gray. The material is prepared by dissolving a dry ground dry mixture with water and dispersants (soda + water glass + optionally also AXILAT 32 A) into a suspension intended for casting into plaster molds.

LUS

Sintering casting mass for the production of utility ceramics with a boiling water absorption below 5%. The recommended firing temperature is 1100 - 1200 °C. The color of the fired shard is ochre gray. The material is prepared by dissolving a dry ground mixture with water and dispersants (soda + water glass + optionally also AXILAT 32 A) into a suspension intended for casting into plaster molds.

LUS/PL

Plastic version of LUS casting mass for the production of utility ceramics with a boiling water absorption below 5%. The recommended firing temperature is 1100 - 1200 °C. The color of the fired shard is ochre gray. It forms a softer, slowly solidifying shard, which allows for rich retouching. The material is prepared by dissolving the dry ground material with water and dispersants (soda + water glass) into a suspension suitable for casting into plaster molds.

LVK/K

Casting mass for the production of decorative ceramics with a porous shard with a boiling water absorption of around 20%. The recommended firing temperature is 950 - 1100 °C. The color of the fired shard is whitish. The material is prepared by dissolving the dry ground material with water and dispersants (soda + water glass + AXILAT 32 A, if necessary) into a suspension suitable for casting into plaster molds.
