The Brník plant was incorporated into the former state-owned enterprise Severočeské keramické závody Most (North Bohemian Ceramic Works Most) in 1982. Until then, it had been part of Moravské šamotové a lupkové závody Velké Opatovice (Moravian Fireclay and Slate Works Velké Opatovice). Its purpose was and still is the extraction and processing of a wide range of clays from the Central Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. The Nehvizdy plant is also part of this plant – the torso of a former gigantic project of the aforementioned MŠLZ Velké Opatovice plant and its then superior body, i.e. the General Directorate of Czechoslovak Ceramic Plants, to build a combine for the processing of refractory clays for further use, mainly in ceramics.

Today's product range includes a number of high-quality and unique clays, which are available to customers in various degrees of processing. In line with the general trend, the company focuses on solving customers' technological problems by compiling complex casting or throwing masses. This eliminates the need for customers to purchase, operate, and maintain the processing part of the production technology, and this practice has many other advantages. This modern philosophy, the experience of our staff, and our raw material resources are the prerequisites for the prosperity of KERACLAY, a.s. Whether it is refractory clays, ceramic materials, or other products, we always offer reliable materials of the highest quality. We achieve this not only thanks to high-quality natural resources, but also through the ingenuity, experience, and professionalism of everyone involved in the technological processing.
